In joint tenancy , two or more people can own the same property in equal shares. Tenancy in the entirety is a kind of joint tenancy where a property is equally owned by a couple. Meanwhile another form of joint tenancy is community property where a husband and a wife owns each half of the property . In the event of death , the decedent’s interest passes like it does in tenants in common.
